Annie Philbrick has always been an avid reader. With two other women, she bought Bank Square Books in Mystic, CT in June 2006 and assumed the role of adult book buyer and event planner. Annie has been to two Winter Institutes, one on a scholarship from Beacon Press in Boston, and has served on the NEIBA Advisory Council for two years. Annie lives in Stonington, CT with her husband, Ben and their four kids, some who have flown the coop. She is a graduate of Middlebury College, and enjoys gardening, yoga, rowing on the cove by her house, traveling and, of course, reading.

Lisa Sullivan is the owner of The Book Cellar in Brattleboro, VT and Bartleby’s Books in Wilmington, VT. Both stores have a long history, The Book Cellar was founded in 1948 and Bartleby’s in 1989. Lisa became owner of both stores in 2004, leaving a career in technology marketing to enter the book world and return to her English major roots. Karen Corvello is the Head Buyer & Operations Manager at R.J. Julia Booksellers in Madison, CT, where she has worked for over seven years. She spent three years at Yale University Press as a publicist, working on both trade and academic titles. Her bookselling career began at her college bookstore in Boston. She has also worked for Lauriat's on Beacon Street, as well as various Waldenbooks throughout the city. Her most peaceful job was working for Episcopalian monks at Cowley Publications. To relax, she bakes, swing dances, and kickboxes.

Barbara Kelly has been a proud bookseller for over 26 years. Kelly as she is more popularly known is the Tradebook and Software Manager for the University of Southern Maine Bookstores located on the campuses at Portland, Gorham and Lewiston, Maine. She also enjoyed a stint as a bookseller at Bookland of Maine at the South Portland store where she was in charge of special orders.Kelly also served for three one year terms on the NEIBA Advisory Council and is pleased to be considered for a seat on the board. When not selling books Kelly can be found at her sewing machine making costumes for many theatre troupes around Maine.

Ann Wachur has been in the business of selling books since she started working full time. She started out in the world of independent bookselling at a store in Stamford, Connecticut. She then went on to work as a publisher's rep. The last ten years have been spent at Penguin and the prior years were spent at G.P. Putnam before it became part of Penguin. When not selling and reading Penguin books, she enjoys reading other companies' books, spending time with her husband and two sons, and hiking.
